Jux Keaton Solita finished first in the 400-meter freestyle in 4:26.47 beating Alfred Maglabe from Mapua Institute of Technology and Jeffrey Hirao from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde.

The Gwanju World University Games medalist earned his second gold in the 800-meter freestyle.

Solita is now more than confident that achieving podium in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season 79 freestyle events are within his reach.

“With [my choaches’] combined scientific swimming capabilities and discipline, I was able to gain my confidence, endurance, foundation and discipline,” Solita told The Pantograph in an email interview.

The competition serves as qualifying rounds the upcoming 29th Summer World University Games in New Taipei City, Taiwan, next year.

PSL is an organization for the sport of swimming in the Philippines accredited by The Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP), the sole national university sports federation recognized internationally.###
