Policemen were deployed to crowded areas to avoid incidents of law fraternity brawls which arise from events that involve large number of participants, said Senior Inspector Pidencio Saballo of Sampaloc Police Station.

“Meron din po kaming mga naka-civilian na pulis para nakikihalo sila doon sa mga tao,” Saballo told The Pantograph.

Police were also vigilant as the annual ‘Salubong’ which marks the last day of Bar examination took place from España to Dapitan.

Out of 6,848 bar examinees, around 6,300 made it to the final day, Supreme Court Bar Confidant Ma. Cristina Layusa said.

“During the exam, 500 [ang] nawawala. Hindi uma-attend tapos every Sunday, may [mga] absent din,” Layusa said.

The University will most likely hold the succeeding bar examinations, Layusa added.

“Dito kasi sa UST, we feel that the candidates are secured,” she said.

Examinees were granted extension time by Bar Examination Committee Chairman Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco Jr., said Layusa.

Results are expected to be released between April and May, 2017.###
