At the beginning of the game, both teams showed their hunger for victory; the other to defend their undefeated streak and the other to soar above the competition. Derrick Ahanmisi of the Falcons, along with Robbie Manalang, attempted to lead against the Archers but the performance of Ben Mbala kept the Falcons tailing behind DLSU.

Papi Sarr of AdU showed great defense and improvement during the second quarter. Yet the Falcons began to falter during the end of the first half when the Archers established a 20-point lead with the help of Jeron Teng’s leadership.

Coach Aldin Ayo of the Green Archers advised his team to exhaust their efforts.

“Pahirapan natin sila and let’s use the plays we have been working hard to execute to our advantage,” Ayo said.

Ben Mbala was the best player of the game with a total of 21 points and 6 rebounds.

With a standing of 3 wins and 2 losses, the Falcons will again share second place with the National University Bulldogs. ###
