Eagles Land Solo on Second Place
Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles on Wednesday secured the second place for themselves after vanquishing the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, 79 – 64, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Fighting Maroons’ Paul Desiderio and Jett Manuel scored 12 points apiece in the beginning of the game but were outshined by Ravena who racked up eight points for the Eagles during the Second Quarter.
With the Ateneo Eagles leading by 11 points, Desiderio made shots which downsized the lead down to four.
The Eagles expounded their lead to 15 points with the help of Ravena and Anton Asistio. Chibueze Ikeh took the last shot and sealed the deal for both the Eagles and the Maroons at 79 – 64.
Ravena was named as the best player of the game with a total of 22 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.
Ateneo is next on De La Salle University’s hit list on October 2, 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena.###
