Adamson trumps UST, back in UAAP Final Four
The Adamson University Soaring Falcons are back in the UAAP Final Four for the first time in five years after defeating the UST Growling Tigers, 76-61, on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Falcons improved to a 7-5 record and assured a spot in the semifinals, eliminating the UP Fighting Maroons (5-8) and NU Bulldogs (5-8).
Robbie Manalang scored 16 points and two assists for the Soaring Falcons. Jerrick Ahanmisi also racked up 16 points while Papi Sarr was limited to seven points but pulled down 18 rebounds.
The Growling Tigers were led by Jan Sheriff with 13 points, while Kent Lao scored 12 points.
Adamson is just a game behind Ateneo and FEU, both in the second spot with 8-4 win-loss chips.
The Soaring Falcons will face the National University Bulldogs on Satruday, Nov. 12, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.###
