Blue Eagles hammer Tamaraws, grabs fourth straight win

The Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles continued its winning streak drubbing the Far Eastern University Tamaraws on Wednesday, 74-59, giving the Blue Eagles a twice-to-beat advantage.

The Blue Eagles double-digit leads during the first and second quarters with Thirdy Ravena scoring back-to-back baskets for Ateneo during their second game against the Tamaraws in the Mall of Asia Arena.

Towards the end of the third quarter, Raymar Jose attempted to decrease the Blue Eagle’s double-digit lead to seven points but by the two-minute mark, Ravena was able to increase the gap between the Blue Eagles and Tamaraws to 12 points resulting to 58-46.

Ravena contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Blue Eagles along with George Go with 14 points and Adrian Wong with 12 points.

Monbert Arong shot 15 baskets for the Tamarraws along with Jose, who contributed 10 points and with Prince Orizu with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

The Blue Eagles will face the Growling Tigers at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, November 12.###
